Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU), in partnership with the Commission on Higher EducationโRegional Office XII (CHED RO XII), successfully conducted an Orientation and Workshop on the Implementation of Republic Act No. 12124, otherwise known as the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) Law, on October 7, 2025, at the university campus in General Santos City.
The event aimed to strengthen NDDUโs role in advancing lifelong learning and professional development, equipping administrators and faculty with a deeper understanding of the ETEEAP Law. The orientation served as a platform to explore how higher education institutions can expand access to tertiary education by recognizing professional experience and competencies as equivalent to academic credits.
The session was led by Dr. Annabelle Dafielmoto, Education Supervisor II and ETEEAP Focal Person of CHED Regional Office XII. Dr. Dafielmoto emphasized that ETEEAP can also be implemented through ODeL (Online Distance e-Learning), thereby increasing flexibility and accessibility for working professionals. She further highlighted that NDDU has the capacity to go beyond this initiative by engaging in Transnational Higher Education (TNHE), fostering more opportunities for global academic collaboration and learning.
NDDU President Br. Manuel V. de Leon, FMS, expressed his gratitude to CHED RO XII for its continued support and partnership. He affirmed that this collaboration strengthens the universityโs mission to uphold โFaith in Excellenceโ by promoting inclusive, innovative, and quality education for all learners.
Through this partnership, NDDU continues to take active steps toward broadening access to higher education, embracing digital and transnational modes of delivery, and contributing to the national and global agenda of lifelong learning.
